Hello and welcome

I’m Grant and this is me. I’m a 27 year old graphic design student living in Brisbane, Australia. But I haven’t been a student forever; I had a career in commerce for nearly 5 years before deciding that it just wasn’t for me. Unfortunately, keeping up with the Jones’ in that career has left me with a lot of residual debt and poor budgeting skills, so I have to rectify the situation.

What to expect from this blog

I’m going to document my progress on the road to financial independence. That means I’ll write about budgeting strategies, debt repayment, bargains when I see them and other bits and pieces along the way.

Why I’m using Tumblr

I may be a design student, but I’m not about to create a whole new theme to blog about finance. So I’ve found one I think is pretty enough. If you find it hard to read just let me know and I’ll change it up.
